What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy may help you conquer undesired habits, boost confidence, stress management, help with anxieties and fears. Strengthen self-confidence and boost ego, helping alleviate stress and support emotional wellness.


Hypnosis is a natural state of mind wherein we can communicate with both the subconscious and conscious parts to help focus and resolve conflict. It is not a sleep state but is a completely natural deep state of relaxation using our natural ability to use our imagination.

I began my journey in studying psychotherapeutic skills in 2012 under the tutorage of Terence Watts at the Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis, and since this time have furthered my training completing an Advanced International Diploma in Psychotherapy.

As your therapist I may advise a course of Analytical Therapy or Hypnoanalysis to help with more deep-rooted problems, this very effective form of therapy is carried out with the aid of hypnosis.  With my help and guidance, I can help you to find past events or root causes with psychological and emotional associations, which may often stem from childhood, causing or at least contributing to the problems you are experiencing, a symptom of hidden underlying issues. helping you to release these emotions.


The release of such a repressed memory or emotion once exposed often results in symptoms disappearing completely. The number of sessions needed depends on the individual but may be anything from 3 to 10 sessions.

During hypnosis I the hypnotherapist will guide you, using suggestion and imagery to reach a deep state of focus and awareness, using your subconscious mind to access emotions and instincts and guide you to resolve emotional stresses, inner conflicts and fears which may be prompting behaviours, attitudes, habits and worries, motivating you to find a better way of life.


Please see my hypnotherapy facts for more details of what the hypnotherapy experience but be reassured that there is no such thing as a ‘hypnotised feeling’, some people may go into a deep state of relaxation but others remain totally aware of their surroundings. You will be in full control and able to speak, open your eyes and even move around and cannot be made to do anything you do not want to do.

‘WSN’ is based on Terence Watts’ original best-selling self-help book, ‘Warriors, Settlers & Nomads’ its fast and you can work with or without hypnosis.

Motivational Weight Loss Programme

The Motivational Weight Loss Programme is designed to offer motivational support, combined with hypnosis and nutritional approaches in the form of weight loss tips, a complete 6 week diet programme including menu hints, to support clients to achieve their weight loss goals.

A summary of what’s included in the Motivational Weight Loss Programme:

A 6 session programme incorporating motivational coaching, formal hypnosis and homework tasks over 6 weeks duration. Opportunity for a full nutritional assessment (I am qualified to do this on a separate basis). One to one weekly sessions. Daily contact either by text or email as agreed. Hypnotherapy sessions tailored individually for you and your needs, self-hypnosis taught to keep you positive. Daily motivational tasks as agreed between therapist and client to keep you focused. Healthy 80/20 6 week eating plan supplied together with tips on how to maximise the plan to support your health. Weigh ins will be done as requested by the hypnotherapist if appropriate.


The Motivational Hypnosis Weight Loss Programme fee is payable in advance.
